PRAYER REQUEST: some test
PRAISE REPORT: I’m thankful that after an extended job search in 2002-2003 that I have a modestly solid job (as solid as this economy can provide) which gives me a foundation from which to help job seekers from a point of “been there too”!
I am praying that the person reviewing these praise and prayer requests will be overwelmed with messages. Yea! God is Good
PRAYER REQUEST:
Could the prayer request start with Maverick’s prayer request:
and have the praises start with Maverick’s praise is:
Maybe “Pray for this Person”, “Add a Comment”, “Pray for Me”, or something to give a little more description of what happens when they press the button. You could also do a mouse-over and make the dialog box verbose.
As a user I am looking at this “Pray” button thinking I can add a new prayer request by pushing it. I even get a clean slate to write on when I push it. This will confuse people. (see next post)
I see I also included the button labels in this posting. Sorry for the confusion. The button labels, while simplistic, need to be more descriptive. (See next post.)
The current label for each posting is “Maverick Says:” Could the labels be changed to read “Maverick’s Prayer Request” or Praises from Maverick”? It would look better than “Maverick Says:”
PRAYER REQUEST: Ahhh. Thanks for catching an error. Each post should have PRAYER REQUEST or PRAISE REPORT in front of your post. Are you okay with that? Or would you still prefer to have it say ‘Maverick’s prayer request’?
PRAYER REQUEST: Hmmmm. Originally we wanted to keep things as clear/simple as possible – by giving them the same label as the request. Maybe we expand the copy to read ‘Pray Now’ and ‘Celebrate Now’?

The “Pray” and “Praise” comment buttons are confusing. Could they be labeled something like “Add a Comment” or “Encourage ?
I like the drop-down from the main menu to submit a prayer or a praise. Entering this one from http://dev.crossroadscareer.org/prayer-requests/?hide_req=1&type=praise
Could you have more than 255 characters? It may cut off
arts. It will dishearten folks if they can’t relate their full thoughts. It would seem that even the website does not want to listen to them.
The 225 character limit is too restrictive. Looking at the live postings most people already limit themselves. However, there are a few longer posts that are powerful. My opinion would be to allow people to pour out their he

PRAYER REQUEST: Thanks for your feedback. We are trying to limit the character count so that we don’t have too long of a request. Maybe we increase it to be 250 characters? Although the current limit allows someone to concisely make a post.

PRAYER REQUEST: After spending all my life in the corporate world (30 years) I was impacted by an organization restructuring at the end of March. My severance runs out in September. I have been looking, since the first Monday after being impacted and I am hearing very little from my submitted resume (professionally done). The contract work I’ve been submitted for – I never hear back. I don’t know what is going to happen in my life, but I need your prayers. I do have faith, but I get afraid when I look at the facts surrounding all this. I have worked so hard all my life, and I could lose everything. I feel so alone right now even though I KNOW God is near. It kinda makes you feel unloved though. I need prayers that I don’t slip any further into depression, and that God will deliver me and bless me with a job where I can continue to pay the people I owe. I really appreciate whomever prays for me, as I pray for myself and others who need help too. Thank You.
PRAYER REQUEST: I have tried to be diligent and steadfast in my quest for a meaningful job but so far after six months I am not any further along that the first week at least that is how it feels.
